April GlossyBox

April 22, 2013

Hello everyone! I first of all wanted to say a massive sorry for not blogging an awful lot lately. I know a week isn't all that long but to me it feels like I haven't blogged in months and to tell you the truth i've just been too busy to blog with working a lot and also starting back at uni last week, but all should return to normal this week :)

Now onto todays post, this months GlossyBox arrived mid last week and I was super super excited as I wasn't actually going to get one this month due to money issues but it turned out I had enough glossydots to get this box free and I am so glad I did!
This months GlossyBox has been exclusively designed by Pearl Lowe for those of you who don't know, Pearl Lowe is fashion and interior designer who has a love for all things vintage and floral which is what inspired the design of this months box, which can I just say is so frigging cute! The theme of this box is 'Spring Fever' what with the start of the Spring season this month and the warmer weather in the air which in my opinion works really well with the design of the box!
So what with the excitement of the design of the box, I was then really excited to see what I had actually got in this months GlossyBox as the last limited edition box was pretty awesome, so I wanted to see if this one lived up to the expectations!
To my surprise this box definitely topped the last limited edition box in every way possible, here it was I received:

Nip+Fab Coconut Latte Dry Skin Fix Body Butter: Let me just firstly say I love the smell of this product, it has a slight hint of coconut that isn't overpowering in anyway and is subtle enough for me seeing as i'm not a big fan of coconut scents. For a brand I haven't come across before I really like this product, it leaves my skin feeling so so soft and is a perfect product for me right now seeing as my skin is quite dry due to the weather change.

So Elixer Purple Eau de Parfum by Yves Rocher: Seeing as this months box is a Spring themed box, this perfume is perfect and fits in so well with the theme. The light floral scent for me is perfect for the spring/summer months where you want a more pretty feminine scent. I may even consider buying the full size version of this it's that nice!

Essie Nail Lacquer: You can imagine how happy I was to see a full size Essie in this months box! Out of the 15 shades chosen I received 'Penny Talk' which is a metallic bronze colour which I haven't had chance to swatch but I can tell i'm going to like it as it looks like such a pretty shade, my mum has already asked me if she can have it!

Crabtree & Evelyn Summerset Meadow Hand Therapy: Another product that works well with this months box theme. This handcream has lovely subtle floral scent to it which leaves your hands smelling so nice and also so soft. Again with the weather change and long hours of working this handcream has been a saviour these past few days as my hands are in such a nice condition.

Illamasqua Medium Pencil: Again similar with the Essie, you can imagine my excitement to find I had an Illamasqua product in my box but i'm slightly disappointed as the shade I received is white which i'm not entirely sure how I would use this or if I will use this which is a same, but the pencil itself is really pigmented and glides on so smoothly just kind of gutted that I probably won't use it.

So that's what I received in this months GlossyBox! In all honestly this is probably one of my favourtie boxes, I love pretty much all of the products and would probably buy every single one of them in the future!

Did you order this months limited edition box?

  5. So gutted I didn't renew my subscription and get this box, will deffo be buying another 6 months now though!

Also you could try using the white pencil as a highlighter for the arches of your brows OR putting it in the inner corner of your eyes to make them look brighter. Always works a treat for me:)
