Maybelline Color Whisper Lipsticks Review

September 09, 2013

As some of you probably saw, I received two of the Maybelline Colour Whisper Lipsticks for my birthday off my cousins which they actually brought back from America for me. As i've literally fallen in love with these lipsticks, I decided it was about time I reviewed them for you guys.
L-R: A Plum Prospect, Berry Ready
Maybelline Color Whisper - Maybelline ($7.49 - not available in the UK)

I had been lusting over these lipsticks after reading many reviews, raving about how good they were and when I knew my cousins were going to America I begged them to pick me up a couple and i'm so grateful that they did.

The first shade I got was 'A Plum Prospect', which as you can see isn't really a plum shade as the name suggests, more of a warm pink shade. When I swatched this I thought that it wasn't going to suit me, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I love this shade as it really warms up my skin tone and isn't like any other lip colour that I own, in fact it has been my go to lip colour recently (so much so that I have currently misplaced it).
The second shade I got was 'Berry Ready', which as you can see is this lovely berry red shade. It's literally the perfect berry lip colour, one that I will be rocking a lot this A/W. Again this shade isn't like any other shade that I own.

So far i'm really impressed with these lip products. They glide on so smoothly, appear super pigmented and they last so well on the lips. They kind of remind me of the Revlon Lip Butters, as they have a very juicy consistency to them that keeps my lips really hydrated throughout the day but they are a lot more pigmented than the lip butters as you can see. Unfortunately we can't get these here in the UK yet, but hopefully they will bring these out soon (please?).

Have you managed to get your hands on any of the Color Whispers?

  14. Wowza! I wasn't expecting them to be so pigmented. I've had my eye on a few earlier in the summer but I haven't even gone through my lip butters yet, haha!
