Recent Purchases #9 - A/W

October 14, 2014

With the cold weather rolling in very quickly after what was the warmest September ever, I thought I best start adding some new a/w pieces to my wardrobe ready for when the cold weather hits us.
Starting with my favourite piece of the moment, and this is the River Island Blogger Sweatshirt (£25). I just couldn't resist picking this up seeing as i've seen pretty much every blogger wearing this, and it's perfect to throw on for a casual outfit or even chilling in with a pair of leggings.

Next are two pieces I picked up from Newlook whilst in Weston, starting with the Grey Grid Check Coatigan (£29.99), which I had to have when I saw it. It's the perfect mix between a cardigan and coat, and it's a much cheaper version of one that I spotted in Topshop a few weeks back. I've been wearing it non stop and because it's grey, it goes with everything! I also picked up this Pale Blue Textured Kimono Sleeve Top (£9.99) as i'm in the need of a few basics and I really liked the colour of this one.

Moving onto ASOS and I was browsing through the sale, when I came across this Striped Contrast Band Jumper (£11). I love a good stripe jumper, but I really liked the contrasting stripe at the bottom as it adds something to what would be a really basic jumper. I wore this the other day, and it's so cosy yet so lightweight. Next is the first coat addition to my a/w wardrobe and this is the She Inside Grey Longsleeve Tweed Coat* (£24.74). It's a really nice coat to just throw on, and again because it's grey it goes really well with pretty much everything. The only downside to this is that I wish i'd ordered the next size up as it is a bit tight on the arms/shoulder area.

These last two things are from my favourite place on the entire planet, of course i'm talking about Topshop! I'd been browsing online, and I was gutted to find a jumper I really wanted was sold out everywhere but I popped into my local store and they had it, but in a different colour. The jumper i'm on about it this Light Blue Clean Rib Sweater (£38), and I actually prefer this colour to the original shade i'd had my eye on. It's super comfy and works so well to throw on with a pair of jeans, but it is quite oversized, as i'm wearing a size six in the picture above. Lastly, as everyone is getting into the ripped jeans trend, I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and I picked up the Moto Ripped Skinny Jeans (£45). I saw them in my local store and just fell in love with them, although they do make knees a little cold.

What have you been purchasing for a/w? Also do you prefer that i've shown the clothes on the body, rather than laid out?
