June Favourites

July 01, 2015

It feels like the past month has flown by and I honestly couldn't tell you where the time has gone, but never the less things are looking up for me anyway and i'm finally starting to feel more content and i'm really ready to get back into blogging as i've been here and there for the past month or so.
Even though this month has gone by pretty fast, i've actually managed to try out some new products and really just enjoy it, as I was in a bit of a beauty rut at the beginning of the month but i'm fully out of that funk now and i've been enjoying pampering myself a lot more.

Over the past few months i've really been making my way through my bath products, especially my shower gels and the one i'm currently using I have been loving. The Body Shop have recently brought out some lovely new fresh scents and I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel (£6). I'm not a huge fan of green tea, although I do love lipton iced green tea but you can't get that here in the UK, slightly off topic but when I first gave this scent a sniff I just knew i'd love it. As i'd previously really enjoyed the Christmas shower gels I thought i'd give this one a go and it is so refreshing, especially with the hot days we're having at the moment. I also really want to try the mojito range they've brought out, let me know if it's any good!

Another body product i've been loving this month is the Xen-Tan Transform Luxe* (£24.99), which is a daily gradual tan that just gives you a lovely golden glow. I've been using this for the past two weeks now and I am obsessed! I've used many gradual tanners over the years, but this is by far the best i've come by. It doesn't ever streak, it has a lovely vanilla scent to it, so no biscuity smells and it lasts really well as I can go a good 2-3 days in between topping it up. I'd definitely recommend trying this tan a go, especially if you're not a fan of instant tans. Keeping with the tan the next product i've been loving is the Rimmel Matte BB Cream (£6.99), which I got in a little goodie bag from The Clothes Show but it has actually been a lovely foundation to use as the shade matches really well with the tan and the coverage is great but also light at the same time. Definitely going to pick up a full size when this runs out!

These last two products are just a couple of random products that i've been reaching for over the past week or so. As the weather is so lovely i've pulled out one of my favourite nails polish shades that I wear to death during the summer months. Essie 'Bikini So Teeny' Polish (£7.99) is the perfect pastel blue that I find works great with all skin tones, put it especially pops with a tan and I just love this shade! Lastly is a new lip colour that I am literally obsessed with as it is my perfect summery pinky purple shade, as i've been loving a more purple lip over the past few months. The Born Pretty Velvet Finish Lip Colour* (£2.80) may look quite similar to some pretty well know lipsticks, yes Topshop lipsticks but the formula and shade range is completely different. I've got the shade 07, which looks quite scary in the bullet but when applied it is a lot more sheer than you first imagine and it has a lovely pink undertone that I really like. The finish is also lovely and it lasts quite well, which is always a bonus. I will be doing a more in depth review soon, so keep a look out for that!
