August GlossyBox
August 11, 2013When I got home from work last night my GlossyBox was waiting for me and I was pretty excited to see what this months box had to offer. After loving last months box, I was a little skeptical as to whether this months box would deliver and to be honest i'm kind of disappointed.
Monthly Subscription (£10 plus P+P) - GlossyBox |
The theme of this months box is 'High Flyers' with a bunch of products designed for us 'on-the-go' girls with a variety of products from all around the world. I do like the idea of this months theme, as some of these products we may not be able to get in the UK or aren't as well known in the UK and this is what I like about GlossyBox is that it introduces me to new brands. So lets crack on with this!
The first product in this months Glossybox is the Oceane Make-up Remover Pen, fresh from Brazil and is designed as an on the go makeup remover/corrector tool for when traveling around. Not to sure how I feel about this tool, but i'm intrigued to see if that actually works. Next up is a little sample of the Viva la Juicy Noir Perfume, which i've actually had my eye on recently after spritzing this in Boots a few days ago. It has a daring and dark smell with hints of berries, which makes you feel really empowering.
This next product is one i've wanted to try ever since their new range launch a couple of month ago and that is the Tresemme Platinum Strength 60 Second Treatment Shot. Designed to help defrizz and destress damaged hair in seconds, i'll for sure be reporting back on this one! Now, i'm getting a little bored of this brand but the next product is the Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Shadow/Liner. A great multi-tasker product but i'm not to sure about the dark green shade.. I may have to do some experimenting with this one. Last up is the Emite Make-up Eyelash Curlers direct from Sweden. I'm quite excited to try these out, as my current eyelash curlers are pretty crap and i've been meaning to get my hands on some new ones, so great timing GlossyBox!
All in all, this box hasn't really impressed me. Yes, some of the products are ones i've wanted to try or I have been meaning to buy but that's just coincidence in my eyes. Sorry Glossy HQ!

I've got a Urban Veda exfoliator instead of the perfume. You should give Beautecobox a go because you can actually see the products and choose between 3 menus before purchasing the monthly box. x

I didn't think so when i first opened the box, but it's actually quite good! xx
DeleteI went to the launch party of the new Juicy Couture perfume and was given a 100ml bottle. I was trying to be a good friend and gave it to a friend as a present and now slightly regret it. It does smell great!
