First Attempt Floral Nails
November 09, 2013I have another nail art kind of post for you guys today, not a tutorial as such because i'm no expert when it comes to nail art, but I will try to talk you guys through what I did.
So the other weekend I woke up far too early and the clocks going back really didn't help, so I was just reading some blogs and watching a few Youtube videos and I came across Islay's newest nail art tutorial (watch here) and I thought i'd give it a go. Now I haven't done the exact same techniques as Islay, as I only have a few dotting tools and not the right colours, but this is my take on it and for a first attempt i'm pretty darn impressed with myself.
Product's used: Essie 'Bikini so Teeny' (review here), Avon 'Pink Creme', Max Factor 'Disco Pink, Color Club 'Wicker Park' (review here) and a dotting tool.
So, I started off by applying two coats of the Essie 'Bikini so Teeny' and allowed that to dry. I then took a dotting tool and used this to apply the Avon 'Pink Creme' in little cloud shapes (as Islay called them) and again allowed those to dry. I then used a smaller dotting tool and used this to apply both the Max Factor 'Disco Pink' and the Color Club 'Wicker Park' using little strokes to add detailing to look like petals and again allowed that to dry. I didn't use a top coat seeing as I don't have one at the moment, but if I had one I would have put a top coat on. So that is my first attempt at floral nail art.
Have you tried out any nail art?
