Long time no speak, but truth me told i've been quite ill with a horrible heavy cold for the past week or so. So much so that i've only just about had the energy to get through the day, let alone for anything else. Having said that i'm starting to feel a little better and i'm really in the mood to blog, so I thought i'd share some new in summer products from the lovely team at Born Pretty.
With the weather being as glorious as it has been the past few weeks, i've really been embracing more pops of colour especially when it comes to my lips and cheeks. I just love a pink pop of colour during the summer months and it brings me a little more confidence.
For the past few months, i've not really bothered all that much with eyeshadow or eyeliner, mainly because I just don't get that much time in the morning but the Deep Sea Waterproof Eyeshadow Pencil* (£2.80) has been a life saver. A quick swipe of colour over the lid and a little blending and i'm good to go. I have shade 12, which is a champagne bronze shade that stays put so well throughout the day and gives my eyes a lovely pop.
As you all know, I have a big obsession with blushers as my collection is always expanding and I love a good true pink blusher. This Double Blush Palette* (£7.57) is like no other blush that i've ever seen and the different variety of shades all work so well hand in hand. I went with shade 3, which as you can see is a mixture of my favourite pink shades. A lighter baby pink blush with a slight iridescent shine that works lovely as a subtle highlight and then a more true pink shades that gives such a lovely pop to my cheeks. I've been using these two shades so much recently, as they do work really well mixed together or worn separately and last quite well throughout the day.
Onto probably my favourite lip colour of the moment as i've been wearing it a lot recently just to make myself feel and look a little better. Now this Velvet Finish Lip Stick (£2.80) looks very similar to a Topshop lipstick packaging wise, but shade and finish wise it is completely different. For a velvet finish lipstick, it has a lovely soft yet glossy feel to it that doesn't dry your lips out at all. I picked shade 7 as i've really been loving a purple lip recently and this shade is so lovely. It's not as terrifying as it looks in the bullet as it has a lovely pink undertone that I find suits me so well and i've had so many compliments on it.
So those are a few of my summer beauty picks from BornPretty!
