If you're anything like me then you will love any type of fragrance that just screams summer, as i'm all about those fragrances labelled 'summer in a bottle', however when it comes to male fragrances I like to think that men stick to what they know taste wise and often play it safe with a few favourite scents but i've come across some lovely scents that I think would be perfect for any man this summer.

A brand that i've heard a lot about recently when it comes to perfume for men L'Occitane are hitting the mark, especially when it comes to their men's fragrance as they have an amazing selection to choose from, of which are tailored to a variety of different tastes and is a brand I think a lot of men haven't really heard about unlike us girls! A firm favourite of theirs, of which a few of my male friends like is their Vetyver Eau de Toilette (£46), which is a very classic manly scent which boasts notes of wood, rosemary and nutmeg all blended into one to create a very masculine fragrance that i'm sure any man would love. Another fragrance that I thought would be more summer appropriate is their Citrus Verbena Fragrance (£46), which as the name suggests is a lemon based scent with notes of grapefruit and lemon that come together to create a lovely summery fresh scent, that is totally different to any male fragrance i've come across before and is one of which I quite like the sound of for myself!

One thing I personally like about L'occitane's fragrances is their packaging as they aren't overly fussy, and exude an element of class and sophistication, whilst also being minimal and clean at the same time. If you're thinking of treating the man in your life to a new fragrance, or you yourself are looking for a new fragrance for summer that is affordable but of amazing quality then i'd definitely recommend checking out L'occitane men's fragrance range!

As for women's fragrance, i'm all about those sweet scents that are totally different to the typical scent that I usually go for and over the years i've discovered a couple that I will forever repurchase. First up has got to be one of my favourite fragrances of all time which is Marc Jacobs Honey Eau de Parfum (£50), which as the name suggests is a beautiful sweet scent that has a honey like twist to it. It has a lovely mix of floral notes including orange blossom and honey suckle, with peach, apricot, vanilla and honey to create a beautiful summer scent that any girl would love!

Another scent I absolutely adore is the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess (£57) of which if you have been living under a rock then you are seriously missing out because this is basically holiday in a bottle. For me it smells like a mix of sun tan lotion, with coconut cocktails and vanilla ice cream all mixed into one. What is also great about this fragrance is that it is limited edition to summer time, and every year they come back with a slightly new bottle making each version as limited edition as they can! If you've not tried this fragrance before then i'd highly recommend it!

What are your favourite summer fragrances?

For me travelling is what makes me happy, being able to experience new places and soak up other cultures is something that I genuinely live for and having the opportunity to travel within my career has been an absolute dream come true. Having said that, travelling to certain places whilst i've been working has definitely made me want to go back and properly visit a few places, and I thought i'd share a few places that i'm dying to experience more of.

PARIS

Anyone who knows me knows how much I have dreamed over going to Paris, and every time I have tried something has always gotten in the way. That was until I attended an exhibition back in February which allowed me to experience the Parisian vibes i've been dying to see for the first time, and i've since been back a second time but as both time were with work it has definitely proven to me that I wasn't ever to give up on my dream of going to Paris because it is an absolutely stunning city that I can't and won't ever forget about.

If you've been to Paris I would love some recommendations on what areas are good to stay in, and the places that are a hit, and others that are a definite miss.

THAILAND

Back when I was around 14 I had the most amazing trip with my family to Thailand, where we spent both Christmas and New Year there of which I will never forget and since going to Australia back in March it only heightened my want to go back to Thailand and discover the places I hadn't visited before. With also being a bit older, I feel like my experience will now be completely different and one to definitely remember! With that I also would love to hop on over to Bali for a few days to just relax, and soak up some much needed sun.

HONG KONG

Having just come back from visiting both HK and China, it has already made me want to go back to Hong Kong and do it as a holiday. From what I did get to experience, I absolutely loved every second and it has only heightened my want to experience more of the city and also the nightlife, as that is one side of HK that I didn't get to see!

Now I couldn't not quickly talk about this cute CityMarble Phonecase* (£14.95) from CaseCompany, of which is a new design concept that is designed to allow you to create memories of your favourite places in the world that you have visited in the form of maps. For me I opted for the Eiffel Tower in Paris, as it's that one place I have always wanted to see and I absolutely loved this design concept. You can also totally customise the CityMarble phone cases by adding emojis how I have, and also by adding text or quotes, which again I thought was such a cute idea, and is like nothing i've ever seen before. If you're a bit of a travel junkie, or know someone who is then this would make a perfect gift idea!

What places are on your travel bucket list?

This year i've definitely tried out a large number of different matte lip products, from liquid lipstick to matte lip sticks, you name it i've probably tried it. So I was intrigued to see how I would rate this latest release from Lancome. As always the team at Lancome have been absolutely amazing to not only myself but to us bloggers this past year, so when I received two of their latest release to try I was blown away as they do the best PR packages!

Similarly to the Juicy Shakers, the new Matte Shakers* (£19.50) are housed in the cute shaker like packaging that I just find so cute and innovative, of which is designed to be shaken to mix the product within the packaging. With this formula, it's different to your typical matte lip as it is designed to not give that dry feel, as it's enriched with silicone oils that when shaken mix into the formula to give a non sticky formula that dries within a few seconds, leaving you with a vibrant pigmented colour.

The two shades I was sent are absolutely stunning and so vibrant, of which aren't typically me but i've really been enjoying wearing the one shade 'Kiss Me In Cherie' which is a beautiful deep red shade that is so sexy! As for the other shade 'Pink Power', this is a really bright pink shade that isn't a me shade at all but it's definitely a lovely shade for summer! For me I absolutely love the formula, as they do remind me of a liquid lipstick that dries really quickly however some liquid lipstick stay tacky or sticky for a little while, but this doesn't what so ever.

These last so well throughout the day, and I find that I don't really have to reapply throughout the day as the colour leaves a lovely stain on the lips. Currently these come in 7 different shades, and I hope that they expand the colour range as I would love to get my hands on some lovely nude shades in this formula!

Have you tried any Lancome products recently?

With the weather being so beautiful at the moment i've been pulling out products that I wouldn't typically use all year round but have been life savers these past few weeks, as well a few new products that have majorly impressed me this month that I just had to tell you about!

For me summer is my favourite season, although being a natural ginger I do find the heat to be overwhelming at times I love nothing more than dressing for summer but with that comes my very pale skin so i've been fake tanning quite a bit recently. I'm planning on doing a separate post on my favourite tanners, but one product that I love to use on top of my tan after a day or two is the Sanctuary Wonder Body* (£9) which is a body lotion with a slight tint that just gives the skin a lovely glow and kind of evens out a tan if it has gone every so slightly patchy! I love this as it makes my skin look so healthy and feels so smooth!

A cleanser favourite of mine for a little while now has been the Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser (£4.99), but more so recently because my skin has been super shiny but still quite dry and this has been amazing at removing my makeup but without leaving my skin feeling stripped. For a more budget cleanser this  has really impressed me, to the point where it may have topped the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, which i'm not complaining about because this is the third of the price and does just as good a job, maybe even better!

Finally we have two products from Rimmels latest collection release, which has really impressed me over the past two weeks! Their Insta Duo Contour Stick* (£6.99) has been my go to cream contour for the past couple of weeks, as it gives such a natural contour that I absolutely love and it's so easy to work with! The other product from the collection that i've loved is the Insta Fix and Go Setting Spray* (£6.99) which has been an absolute life saver with this hot weather recently. I've never tried a setting spray before, and for the first one to try it has really impressed me and has made my makeup stay put longer than usual!

So those are the products i've been loving these past months!
