GlossyBox February Valentines Edition

February 12, 2013

When I came home yesterday after dropping my grandparents off at the coach station for their little week away I was greeted by a GlossyBox waiting outside of my door (shout out to my postman for actually leaving it without signing for it) and I was so excited to see what was in box this month from the reviews that other bloggers were posting late last week!
Now when I opened my GlossyBox I took the pictures whilst I was opening it add to the surprise element as I normally open it and then rewrap it all and then take the pictures but I liked that I did it this way as it just added to the excitement!

Anyway onto the box, this months GlossyBox is all about valentines day whether you're spending it with your other half or just glamming it up for a night out with the girls this box is designed to help you look and feel your best for the valentines day/night celebrations.

First of all can we just appreciate how cute the box design is! The brighter pink box with the illustrative bow and glossy finish just work so well for the theme of this box and I don't think I will throw this box away, love it! Now onto the products that I got in my GlossyBox this month:

Docteur Renaud Raspberry Soft Cream: I haven't heard of this brand before but it's is one GlossyBox's favourite brands so I'm going to trust that this is a good brand and that I will get on well with this cream. I'm not a big fan of body creams as I do tend to have sensitive skin when it comes to body creams and lotions where I always pretty much get some sort of reaction but my initial thoughts on this product are quite good as I tested it out last night after my shower and it left my arms feeling so soft and the scent is really nice, as it is a subtle raspberry scent which is really nice but not overpowering at all.

ModelCo Eyeshadow Duo in Bronzed Goddess: I was so excited to see that I had this product in my GlossyBox, I've heard some really good things about ModelCo but have never owned or tried any of their products. I really like the two shades in this palette as they are the two main shades that I use and is perfect for when i'm on the go as I can use the brown shade to touch up my eyebrows if needed instead of also carrying my eyebrow palette. So thumbs up for this product!

Helen E Cosmetics Moisturising Lipstick: As I am starting to find my love for lipsticks I was excited to see I had a lipstick in my box this month as I've heard some really good things about this brand and their lipsticks. Unfortunately I received a light brown shade which just doesn't suit me or my skin tone, but I have given to my mum as she loves her brown lipsticks so she's happy with it!

Micabella Cosmetics Mineral Blush Powder: I haven't heard of Micabella before but I'm very intrigued as their cosmetic collection is made from 100% natural mica and also this blush contains SPF15 (in a powder, wow!). I really like this product, the colour of blush is just right for me it isn't too pink but isn't too orange either and applies so easily. Love it!

Anatomicals 'You need a blooming shower!' Body Cleanser: I was over the moon when I saw I had another anatomical product in my GlossyBox, as I just love Anatomicals from the few products I have received from GlossyBox in the past. I love this body cleanser it smells so nice, it has a subtle rose scent that isn't too floral or overpowering as some floral scents can be and leaves my skin feeling so smooth!

As a little extra GlossyBox threw in the cute heart shaped lollipop which I thought was such a cute touch and it tastes amazing, where can I order these from?! haha.

Overall I love this months GlossyBox, it's just stomps on last months box and I really like pretty much all of the products, just a shame about the lipstick shade.

Have you received your GlossyBox yet? What were your favourite products?

xx

  7. I love the look of that eyeshadow.

I'm unsure whether or not I should subscribe to Glossybox or Birchbox. They seem to be a real hit or miss and I don't like to part with my money.
