I honestly cannot believe that tomorrow is the first day of March, this year is flying by already and before I know it i'm going to be finish with uni. With it being the end of the month it's time that I talked about my favourites from this past month.
Smashbox Travel Size Photo Finish Foundation Primer - Boots (£12.50), Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - Boots (£5.49), Eyeko Skinny Mini Eyeliner - Eyeko (£9), Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser - The Body Shop (£8) eBay Brush Set - eBay (£4.87) |
In all honesty I found it quite hard to pull together my favourites of this month as I really hadn't purchased many new things and i'm still really loving the products from January but I was able to pull together a few things.
Starting off with my favourite product of the moment and that is the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. For me this is the first primer that has actually worked and it's easy to see why so many people love this primer. Although it is quite pricey, it is one that I believe is worth the money. This next product is one that i've rekindled my love for and that is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I first picked this up in early 2013, but I didn't really need to use a concealer and to be honest I don't really need to now but i've been using this to cover up any blemishes as my chin has gone a bit mad recently. It gives great coverage and works really well to minimise the appearance of any blemishes without caking up. This next product is one I knew i'd love when I received this in my Birchbox and this is the Eyeko Skinny Mini Liner. For a felt tip eyeliner, I love this! It's nib works so well to create an effortless neat line within literally seconds as apposed to the messy disasters I have had with liquid eyeliners in the past. I love that it appears quite matte, yet still really pigmented and it stays in place all day. It's a miracle that i'm only mentioning one skincare product, but this past week or so i've literally fallen in love with The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser. It's so gentle on the skin but works so well to remove my makeup, leaving my skin so so soft and silky after using it. I have to stop myself from stroking my face after using this! Lastly, this month i've given my Real Techniques brushes a break and i've been loving my bargain eBay Makeup Brushes (read more here). Especially the Domed Foundation brush, which works so well to buff in my foundation, and the Angled Foundation Brush, which i've actually been using for contouring as the brush really helps to get into the hollows of your cheeks.
So that is my favourites for this past month!
