Made my room all Christmasy - I really wanted to make my room a little more festive this year, so I picked up some cute Christmas bedding from Primark and I love it! It's so snuggly and soft, and it's really starting to get me in the Christmas spirit!

Bought a copy of Girl Online - If you love Zoella as much as I do, then i'm sure you are all aware of her book that was released on Tuesday! Luckily I had the day off and I hop footed it into my local WhSmith, where they luckily had a couple of copies on the shelf and it was half price! So happy for Zoe and I can't wait to start reading it!

Saw The Hunger Game: Mockingjay Part 1 - I'm not the hugest fan of The Hunger Games, I haven't read the books but i've really enjoyed the previous two films, so it was only right to see the next instalment. I'm not going to spoil anything, but if you haven't seen it yet, you have to! It's so good, and I can't wait for part 2 now.

What have you been up to this week?

Anyway, this month I haven't really been loving all that much, what with being so busy I just haven't had much time to go out buy new things or try many new things.

Starting off with the most obvious choice as i've been loving it since the day it arrived, and this is the Nars 'Vera' Audacious Lipstick (£24). I picked this up during the flash beauty sale that ASOS had at the beginning of the month and have not regretted it one bit, and i've been getting as much wear out of it as possible. Although it appears quite a wearable shade, it is quite a bold lip, which I can't really get away with on an everyday occasion, so i've been wearing it mainly in the evenings or i've blotted it so it doesn't appear so intense. 

Two items from the amazing team at Makeup Revolution, and first up is the 'Golden Sugar' Ultra Blush and Contour Palette* (£6). When this arrived on my doorstep I almost squealed with excitement as i've never owned or tried any blushes like these. They remind me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers, but for a fraction of the price and the pigmentation is so good. The main reason I like this palette is because I can wear every single shade in this palette as they suit my skin tone really well and add a lovely amount of contour/blush. 

Secondly is the Ultra Aqua Brow Tint* (£3), which has become my go to brow product of the month. It fills and defines my brows beautifully without them looking unnatural at all. Although it does take a little getting used to, it is unlike any brow product I have previously tried and I just love what this does for my brows, they just look amazing!

Lastly is a bit of a random favourite and this is the Glade Warm Spice Candle (£2). I picked this up from my local Wilko as it was only £1 and i'd been wanting it ever since I first gave it a good sniff. It a lovely spicy candle for Christmas and the scent to fills up my bedroom, making it smell all festive and it does a good job of warming my room up also.

This particular piece also comes in gold and silver, but I think the rose gold is so pretty and is dainty enough to be worn as an everyday accessory, I just love it. I hadn't really heard much about Born Pretty, but they are makeup/beauty website selling a massive range of beauty products. From brushes to nails and everything in between, you are bound to find something on there that you'll like.

The Born Pretty 6 Colour Blush Palette* (£10.53) is an absolute beauty, as the shades within this palette are perfect for my pale complexion. Above i'm using the darker bronzer shade, which adds a really subtle but nice amount of contour and then teamed with the middle peachy pink blush for a pop of colour on the cheeks. The pigmentation of the blushers is amazing, as you only need the smallest amount on the cheeks and the bronzers are really good as you can build the colour to create a lovely amount of contour.

As you can see, the blush pans within this palette are quite big, which means they will last quite well and it will come in super handy when travelling. The only down side is that it doesn't have a mirror, which would have been great when it comes to travelling but it's not the end of the world.

Overall i'm really impressed with this palette so far and I can't wait to try out more products from Born Pretty. All of their products are also quite affordable and they offer free shipping, depending on how much you spend etc. As they ship from Hong Kong I believe, it does take a couple of weeks to arrive but mine was packaged really well and arrived fairly quickly.

The Makeup Revolution Ultra Aqua Brow Tint* (£3) is one of their newest additions into the array of brow products and is described as a smudge proof eyebrow tint that fills and defines your brows. It is also said to adapt to your skins temperature during the day to keep your brows looking perfect all day.

Now I totally agree with that it fills and defines your brows, as i've been using it non stop, although it does take a couple of attempts to get used to it. I've been using my Real Techniques Eyeliner Brush to apply this, using the smallest amount and just running it through my brows until I get my desired shape. I love how this product makes my brows look, as they look so much sleek and defined than when I use a powder product and unlike powder products, this does not smudge at all.

I believe i've got the shade 'medium' but I could be wrong, as silly me has lost the box that it came in.  Any who, this shade works quite well with my brow colour, although it is a little on the warm side I can get past that as your eyebrows naturally aren't the same colour as your hair. These come in four different shades, so that they suit all brow colours from light to dark and at £3 each, they are an absolute steal!

The main reason I ordered this box was because it had so many products i'd always wanted to try but their hefty price tags always put me off, so this box is allowing me to test out the products before taking the plunge and i'm so excited!

Started wrapping Christmas presents! - I started my Christmas shopping about two weeks ago and in a moment of boredom and through running out of hiding places, I decided to start wrapping some presents. I'm getting so excited for Christmas this year and I can't wait to see the big smiles of my family and friends when they open there presents.

Cooked Mum a yummy lasagne - As my step dad is currently away on business, I took advantage of this and cooked a lasagne for my mum and myself as we don't get to eat it very often. Not to toot my own horn, but I can make a mean lasagne and mum loved it!

What have you been up to this week?

The only fashion related item i've asked for this year is the ASOS Risky Business Boots (£35). I already own these in the plain black version, and have fallen in love with them so much that I had to ask for another pair. I love a good staple boot for winter and these just add a lovely amount of subtle detail to an outfit with the faux croc skin finish. 

The first of the beauty bits comes from one of my favourite brands and this is the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons Gift Set (£16). I've added this onto the boyfriends list of things to get me, as this little set comes with three gloss crayons all in shades that I would wear. I've never tried any of these, so they would be a lovely little addition, and would make a great stocking filler. Another gift set i've got my eye on is The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Festive Picks (£17) as they've got some really lovely gift sets at the minute, and this one caught my eye. I really want to try the new argan oil range as i've heard some great things and the scent is incredible. Last gift set but a goodie is the Lush Christmas Candy Box (£14.95) as it has a few of my Christmas Lush favourites.

I'm pretty sure every girl has one of the Urban Decay palettes on her Christmas list, and i've got both the Naked2 Basics (£19.80) and the Naked Palette (£33.30). I've wanted the second basics palette ever since it was released as I prefer the shade range compared to the first one, so this one is on the boyfriends list. As for the first naked palette, this is the only one I have not tried or owned a dupe for so naturally my beauty brain needs it. 

I never thought i'd be wanting books for Christmas, but thanks to every blogger out there i've found a couple that i'm lusting over. First up is Not That Kind Of Girl by Lena Dunham (£8.49) and i've seen Essie Button talking about this so much, that she has made me want it. Also an obvious choice, #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso (£10.49) as every blogger has featured this in someway on their blog, so again I want it. 

Last but not least is something i've wanted for ages and this is the Breville Blend Active Family Pack (£29.99). I've been really getting into my smoothies, and I hate having to clean my blender day in day out hence why i've gone for the family pack as it contains four shaker bottles, which will suit my lazy ways and it means I can have a smoothie on the go.

What are you wishing for this Christmas?

This She Inside Plaid Longsleeve Cardigan* (£14.52) has been a lovely little addition into my wardrobe as it brings a little bit of colour without it being too much against my pretty much black outfit. It's so thick and snuggly that you can get away with wearing this over a thin jumper, as I have here but this does come in as 'one size'. It fits me fairly well, although I would have liked it a little bit bigger just so I could wear it with thicker knits, but other than that I love it, and will be wearing this a lot over the coming months.

I've paired the cardigan with my trusty Topshop Black Leigh Jeans (£38), which I wear pretty much non stop as they are so comfortable and the quality is amazing. I've had this pair for a good couple of years now and they are still going strong. I've also paired my Topshop Navy Fluffy Sweat (£29) in order to bring out the blue from the jacket. I loved these fluffy sweaters last year, I just wish i'd picked up more whilst they were in the sale.

As for accessories i've been wearing my Daniel Wellington Classy Sheffield Watch* (£119) pretty much non stop since I got it. It's such a lovely little accessory and it compliments an outfit really well. If i'm not wearing it now, my outfits don't feel complete. Also, to tie in with the rose gold on the watch, I wore the Muru Talisman Rose Gold Mini Wishbone Necklace* (£54). I've got a slight obsession with rose gold recently and this piece is lovely. I love the daintiness to it and it's so pretty.

Daniel Wellington is brand that I hadn't really heard all that much about, but in the recent months the buzz around these watches especially on social media platforms, instagram in particular you could tell these watches were something special.

When the Daniel Wellington Classy Sheffeild Watch* (£119) landed on my doorstep one evening last week, I knew there was something beautiful about this watch. From the way it was packaged within it's lovely leather box, to the gorgeous rose gold hardware and the Swarovski crystal face detailing - i'd fallen in love.

It was hard to choose which watch to go for as Daniel Wellington has a number of gorgeous styles to choose from, but I opted for one with a smaller watch face as i'm not a huge fan of the chunkier watch trend and I have quite small hands. Then onto choosing the strap, this was even more difficult but I opted for a minimal style of a simple black leather strap, as it will fit in well with my monochrome wardobe and out of the silver or rose gold hardware, that one was easy - rose gold all the way!

For someone who hasn't worn a watch in years, it was an adjustment but one that I have really enjoyed. Not having to rely on my phone 24/7 and i've received so many lovely comments on it over the past week that it has also given me a little more confidence. This is one accessory that I will be loving for years to come.

Which Daniel Wellington watch have you got your eyes on?

What first drew me to this range is that it is designed for those who colour their hair quite a lot, like myself and have a lot of damage due to this. I also really liked the sound of the Color Locking System used within these two products, a lot of science babble to me that makes no sense but it obviously works from my experience.

The Redken Color Extend Magnectics Shampoo* (£13.50) is designed to cleanse, strengthen and protect coloured hair, whilst leaving the hair feeling fortified  and radiant. I've been using this for a good few weeks now and I have really loved what this product does to my hair. I often find that shampoo's directed at coloured hair make my hair quite greasy, but this I can get a good two to three days before washing again. It leaves my hair looking so shiny and radiant, but also my hair feels so much more nourished and the i've noticed the colouring in my hair is also less dull.

I've also been using the Redken Color Extend Magnetics Conditioner* (£11.25) along with this, as it detangles, strengthens and again helps to protect coloured hair. I love the smell of this stuff, its so light but leaves my hair smelling really clean. It has also really been working to give my hair the conditioning that it needs, leaving the ends feeling so much smoother and looking so much more healthy. 

Although Redken is a little more pricier, the products do work wonders and I also like that their conditioners are often smaller than the shampoo as I can never finish up both products at the same time.

When it comes to blogging I do believe that there are no rules as such but sometimes I find that other bloggers advice and tips can really help, and I always bear these things in mind when it comes to blogging.

So those are some of my tips from what i've learnt through running a blog and I hope some of these will help you out.

What has running a blog taught you?

The Nars Audacious 'Vera' Lipstick (£24) is the most beautiful lipstick that I now own and I was very lucky to get this shade as it sold out just after I added it to my bag. The shade is a typical 'me' shade, a pink berry colour as I find this shade suits me the best and I cannot wait to get a lot of wear out of this during the a/w. The pigmentation of this lipstick is amazing, and gives a good amount of coverage with one swipe. The formula is also lovely not too matte, and not too creamy, which is really comfortable to wear on the lips.

The packaging of this lipstick is to die for, with the true matte black that Nars is known for and the tube is also magnetic, which adds a really sleek high end feel to the lipstick and it stops the lid coming off in your bag. I also really like how the Nars logo is engraved into the lipstick, such a lovely touch.

The Zoella Soak Opera (£5) has been my shower gel of choice as I always only have the one on the go at a time and i've really been enjoying this one. I've almost finished it up, which shows how much I have liked it but it's just a really nice shower gel. I haven't had chance to use this in the bath yet, but the scent is so lovely and it lingers quite nicely throughout the day. I also love the packaging of the Zoella Beauty products, so I will definitely repurchase this at some point.

Probably my favourite release of the month and this is the Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick* (£5 each). I've been loving the majority of the shades available, and a few I have been using on a daily basis. They are a lovely, yet affordable cream blush with some truly amazing shades that match a variety of different skin tones. I have done a more full review here, so be sure to check that out.

Lastly is my go to shampoo and conditioner of the moment and this is the Redken Colour Extend Magnetics Shampoo* (£9.50) and the Redken Colour Extend Conditioner* (£11.25). As I have coloured hair and i'm always recolouring it, i'm also on the look out for products that help to extend that, whilst also leaving my hair nourished at the same time. This little duo have been exactly what I have been looking for and I am loving them. They leave my hair so soft and nourished, but also shiny which gives the colouring in my hair the boost it needs. I'll be doing a more in depth review on these soon.

What have you been loving in October?

At the moment i'm really loving sweatshirts, especially ones that are slightly cropped as I find them a little more flattering that you average sweatshirt. This Striped Loose Sweatshirt (£8.93) is one that i've currently got my eye on, as the striped detailing adds a little something to your ordinary sweatshirt but also can be worn quite versatile. Either it be with a pair of black skinnys or dressed up with a skirt.

A big staple piece for me is usually a striped tshirt of some sort and this Striped Loose T-Shirt (£5.29) is perfect. I love the slouchy fit to it and I can see myself rocking this every single pair of jeans I own. 

I'm also really loving these long line coats that we are seeing everywhere, as they really make an outfit. This Pink Longsleeve Lapel Coat (£22.71) is so cute, especially as I love mixing pastels into my usual boring black ensembles during winter just for a pop of colour. 

I had to throw a bag into this wishlist, as i'm not a big bag girl. I like my little small shoulder bags that carry exactly what i need and this Black Clutch Bag (£11.01) is the perfect size for me. I love the simple embellished detailing and it looks quite sturdy also, so everything is kept safe inside. Another coat i've had my eye for quite some time, as i've seen a fair few bloggers wearing similar styles to this. This Longsleeve Plaid Cardigan (£14.52), which is more like a coatigan is so on trend right now and is one of those items that you can throw on, and it just makes the outfit. 

Last but not least, how could I not include a slogan as they are everywhere at the moment. This Black Letters Print Sweatshirt (£10.50) is one that every girl probably wants to own, who doesn't love Beyonce? Like I said slogans are everywhere at the moment and they really add something to a basic top and jeans combo.

What are your staple pieces for a/w?
