April Favourites

April 28, 2015

I genuinly cannot believe how quickly this month has passed by, as it's been a busy and packed month of which i've enjoyed immensely! This month I haven't really been loving all that much this month and it was quite hard for me to pull out products but i've pulled together a few products that i've raved about previously and have impressed me over the past few months.
With the transition into Spring, these products are definitely evidence of me switching up things especially when it comes to my skincare and also my choice in summery pinks, opting for lighter moisturisers and also shades that i've not really worn previously.

Starting with skincare, these past few weeks i've been neglecting my skincare routine especially when it comes to serums as I just can't seem to find any that are working for me at the moment but i've found some amazing moisturising products that my skin has been loving. The Yves Rocher Serum Vegetal Wrinkles & Radiance Day Cream* (£21) is honestly the nicest day cream that i've ever used. It's great for giving my skin the hydration and nourishment it needs throughout the day but it's also so lightweight that it sinks right in meaning it's great when you're in a rush. Another skincare product i've been loving is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask* (£23), which i've been using 3-4 times a week overnight ot give my skin some TLC as it tends to really dry out overnight, so using this has really been helping my skin and i've really noticed a different.

Onto the beauty bits and as I mentioned i've really been embracing the summery pink shades as i've never really thought that they suited me but apparently they do. Starting with the cheeks and the L'oreal Nude Maqigue BB Blush (£7.99) has been my go to blush these past few weeks. It's like no other blush that i've used before as it's like a cream/silicone blush that comes out clear but blends to a lovely pink pop of colour. Moving onto the lips and a lip pencil i've loving is the MeMeMe Cosmetics 'English Rose' Lip Glide* (£6.95). The velvet finish to this is really lovely and isn't drying at all, which is great as love a matte finish but I cannot stand how drying they can be. The shade of this is also lovely and good option for a light pink that isn't too nude.

A couple of random beauty favourites that I thought i'd throw in as they've really impressed me over the past few months. A mascara that i've really been enjoying is the MeMeMe Cosmetics Dark & Divine Mascara* (£8) as it is amazing at lengthening thr lashes but also giving them some a,azimg definitiom. The wand is a plastic wand so it really grips the lashes and just works wonders. Last random favourite comes from Claudia Louch, a brand that has really impressed me and the Mineral Compact Pressed Powder* (£52.50) has replaced my trusty Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder. Now I know this is pricey but coming from a skin expert, you know you can trust it. The powder itself is a lovely pressed powder that sets my makeup like no other and I don't find having to repowder throughout the day as it really works to soak up any oil and reduces shine throughout the day. Also this is available im a wide range of different shades, which is always a good thing as it can work for anyone.

So those are the products that have really impressed me over the past cuple of months!
