Sunday Summary: Bills Afternoon Tea + Update

April 12, 2015

It's been a little while since I posted on a Sunday and i've missed it a little, but if i'm honest i've been so busy that nothing exciting has been happening to really update or share with you guys. However, with the bank holiday just been and gone, I finally got some time to chill out and catch up with one of my good friends over Afternoon Tea at Bills, which I just had to let you in on.
I've never had the traditional English Afternoon Tea, but it is something i've always wanted to do as I love tea and cake! When my friend Abbie suggested going to Bills to try out their version of afternoon tea I instantly said yes, and i'm so happy I did!

So on bank holiday Saturday, Abbie and myself ventured down to our local Bills just shy of 2.30pm, when the Afternoon Tea starts (we weren't keen or anything!), where we were seated, ordered our food and eagerly waited to see what was in store. I wasn't quite expecting what we got but served on a three tier cake stand, we had a lovely variety of finger sandwiches, cakes including the most delicious brownies and then.. scones!!! As well as a huge pot of tea, which we both had a good three cups of each and still half the pot remained.

The sandwiches weren't really my cup of tea, mainly because I didn't like the majority of the fillings but they were a nice touch. The cakes however, oh my god, they were yummy! I think they mix it up each time, but we had the most delicious chocolate brownies, a strawberry cream tart, some sort of sponge cake and then a frosted marshmallow. We didn't actually make it all the way through the cakes, as the scones were really filling and weren't they yummy! I love a good scone!

If you haven't had Afternoon Tea at Bills then i'd highly recommend trying it out as you will not be disappointed!

As for what's been happening otherwise, not a lot. Work is so so busy as we've just launched in the UK and we have had a load of school events, where we put on fashion shows to not only raise brand awareness but also money for the schools themselves. If you want to go check out the company I work for, then visit our website, FG4!

Hope you're all well and enjoyed your bank holiday as much as I did!
