Caudalie Beauty Elixir Review

June 15, 2013

I recently received this product, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir in my Selfridges Summer Beauty Box, but I have wanted to get my hands on it for ages after seeing various bloggers raving about this product and now that I finally have my hands on it I wanted to share my thoughts on this product.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir 30ml - Feel Unique (£10.35)
This product appealed very highly to me, even though i'm quite new to the world of hydrating water based sprays but the concept of spritzing my face and makeup with this to refresh and hydrate my skin somewhat excited and intrigued me as I do sometimes feel my skin needs a refresh every now and then especially if i'm having a busy day. With this spray containing several natural ingredients including orange blossom, grape, balm mint and rosemary this appealed even more as we all know natural ingredients can do wonders for your skin especially for hydration and a radiant glow to our skin, which I find my skin often lacks.

I don't use this product everyday, only on the days I feel my skin needs a little pick me up by spraying once or twice lightly over my face to give a nice mist to my skin mainly before applying my makeup but I do also mist this over my face during the day if I feel that my skin is feeling dry or tight.
I find this really nice and light on the skin, especially as I didn't get any water droplets on my skin and I didn't have to wait ages for it to soak in. I did feel somewhat refreshed when spraying this onto my face, as it is a very light and cool mist which I do sometimes find myself applying a few times a day especially on warmer days. I did find that I had a small breakout when using this product, but I cannot say if this product caused this as it may not have.. you know what us girls skin can be like, clear one minute and horrible the next. The only thing that was a little off putting and took some getting used to was the scent of this spray, it's really hard to explain exactly what the scent is but it definitely takes some getting used to and if you don't like overpowering scents then you may not like this.

Overall I really like the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and I am really glad I finally got my hands on it, another product to tick off the list!

Hope you're all well and are enjoying your weekend.

  4. I don't really see what the major hype over this product was about, yes it is quite refreshing but I didn't notice any change in my skin for some reason. I've kind of matched the smell to the smell of mouldy oranges haha!
