May Birchbox - Harpers Bazaar
May 13, 2014I was so excited when I heard that Birchbox were collaborating with Harpers Bazaar and when my box arrived on Saturday, I literally ripped it open to reveal what could possibly be my favourite Birchbox ever!
Monthly Subscription (£10 + P&P) - Bircbox |
Can I start off by pointing out the box, how amazing is the design? It gets me all in the summery mood with bold tropical prints, which is what the months box is all about. Preparing us for this upcoming season and all of the outdoor activities we will be getting up to, and for me that means festivals and chilled summer evening BBQ's.
So let's get into the contents of this months box, and starting with the Soigne Nail Lacquer in the shade 'Creme Au Beurre' I believe, which is probably the most fanciest nail polish i've ever seen, I mean it's packaging just screams luxury. This is a lovely pale nude pink shade, which I don't own anything like and as nude is said to be a big spring/summer nail trend I will be for sure rocking this!
Next we have a firm summer favourite of mine, the Benefit They're Real Mascara. Now if you haven't heard about this mascara then where have you been? It's amazing for giving your lashes that volume and fullness that we all desire, and it's definitely one that I will be loving for years to come. What's so great is that these samples last so long, I have about three samples now meaning that holding off on buying the full size has been prolonged once more, cheers Birchbox!
These next two products i'm quite excited about, as these are a Birchbox exclusive and the products in question are the Beauty Protector Protect and Shampoo & Conditioner. The first thing that caught my eye was the packaging, so unique and secondly the smell, especially of the conditioner.. so nice! These products are both sulphate and paraben free, whilst also being vegan and are said to strengthen, nourish and protect the hair, which appeals greatly to me and my super damaged hair.
Next is product that i've heard so much about, but never delved into and that is the Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil. Now i've heard Lily Pebbles rave on about these oils, how calming and relaxing these are to use when having a soak in the bath but i've never really been one for body oils, they just haven't really come under my radar before, but i'm super excited to see how this one works out.
Last but very not least is one of my favourite products of all time, and that is the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. Liz Earle are currently celebrating the fact that this cleanser has one over 100 beauty awards solidifying that this cleanser means business. It's great for removing the heaviest of makeup, even waterproof whilst cleansing the skin and removing any dry skin that I have without being harsh. What's also great is that this mini comes with a mini muslin cloth, meaning you can use it whilst on the go or when travelling as it will fit into any bag.
Within this months box is also a mini mag jam packed with beauty tips from the Harpers Bazaar Beauty Director, Sophie Bloomfeild with loads of tips and tricks for when surviving the outdoors, which I can't wait to get stuck into. Also, within this months box is a special little offer where you can subscribe to Harpers Bazaar for 12 months, for just £12! Amazing!
What do you think of this months box?

First the design of the box is pretty lovely but the picks inside are great too. I'm debating whether or not to subscribe to a beauty box of some sort but I think I might!
