May Favourites
May 27, 2014I originally wasn't going to do a favourites this month, mainly because I haven't tried anything new or anything worth mentioning but I thought 'I can't not do a favourites post', so I managed to pull a few products together even though i'm still loving everything from last month.
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter - The Body Shop (£13), Revlon Matte Balms - Boots (£7.99), La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + - Escentual (£15.50), The Body Shop Sink-in Moisture Mask - The Body Shop (£12) |
Let's start off with The Body Shop Shea Body Butter, this I got as a free sample when I took out my Body Shop card and I didn't really think i'd use it but recently my legs have been quite dry. I'm not usually one to use body butters as I never feel the need, or all the ones i've tried I just haven't liked but this one has changed my opinion. First off the fragrance isn't too overpowering, just enough for my liking and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished. It also doesn't take agesssss to sink in, which is the main reason for me liking this.
Next are the Revlon Color Burst Matte Balms, I picked two of these up a month or so ago and I never really got round to trying them out until this month. Now matte formulas are not something I enjoy but after hearing that these aren't drying, I just knew I had to give them a go. They glide on so smoothly and actually work to nourish my lips, leaving them really soft at the end of the day. Not to mention the pigmentation of these things are amazing, and I love how matte they look on the lips. I really wish I could get along with matte lipsticks but these are definitely my replacement.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + is a product i've spoke about a few times on my blog, but i've never really used it long enough for it be in a favourites post. If you caught my Blemish Busting Duo post then you will have seen me praising this, and it has been a life saver over the past week and half!
Finally, and this is the third month in a row i've featured something from this range but i've been loving The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-in Moisture Mask. As most of you avid readers know, I have quite dry skin especially at the moment from using a lot of acne fighting products. I've been using this pretty much once a week for a good two months now, but more so this month as my skin has been seriously dry and it just works so well to inject some moisture into the skin and not too mention it's super calming also!
What have you been loving this month?

I haven't gotten my hands on Effaclar duo+ but the original was pretty good! You have a very simple favorites bunch which is so refreshing to see! :-)

I love The Body Shop body butters! I actually just got two today - almond and raspberry :) Also a big fan of Revlon Matte balms, which are probably the most comfortable-feeling matte lip products I've tried. Love the sound of that mask - really curious to try it now!

I love the Revlon Matte Balms recently it's nice to have a matte finish for a change. I have been trying the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer this month and it's made my skin look great.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about almost all the products in the Body Shop's Vitamin E line. Might have to get the site a lookover!
