The Repurchases #1
May 29, 2014For a long time now i've been thinking about how usually i'll review or discuss a product whilst i'm enjoying it, but after that nine times out of ten I won't talk about that product again or for quite some time. Having said that i've never really shown you guys which products are ones that I have loved over and over through various repurchases, so I thought i'd start a new series where I talk about products i've repurchased or will be repurchasing, and what has made them so good in order for to spend my money on them again.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - Liz Earle (£14.75), La Roche Posay Hydreane - Boots (£14.50), Erborian BB Creme - Space NK (£12.50), Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder - Boots (£3.99), The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter - The Body Shop (£12) |
Let's kick off with the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, a product i've praised many times on my blog. This is actually my second bottle of this stuff, and soon i'll be moving onto my third seeing as this one has almost ran out. Hands down I have never come across a cleanser that does what this one can do and i'm sure many of you will also agree. It's such a gentle cleanser that works to remove makeup including waterproof mascara so easily, it has never irritated or caused my skin to break out and also the muslin cloths that come with it work really well to remove any dry/dead skin I have without causing any irritation. Need I say more? If you haven't tried this cleanser then I really recommend you do.
Next up is the moisturiser that has been my go to for a good four to five months now, and that is the La Roche Posay Hydreane Legere. This for me does everything I need a moisturiser to do and more. It's aimed at sensitive skin, which I do have to some extent but it's mainly designed to hydrate the skin, which it does an amazing job of especially as I suffer from dry dehydrated skin. I believe they have somewhat reformulated or renamed this product, as I have found it hard to find it on the Boots website but I will for sure be repurchasing, either the original or the newer version as my skin loves it so much.
Moving away from skincare for a minute, this next product is one I loved last summer and also over the last couple of months and that is the Erborian BB Creme. I've gone through two tubes of this stuff, and I will be repurchasing for the warmer summer months. For me it's the perfect coverage i've found especially when I want a lighter coverage, although this has a heavier coverage than your average bb creme it's lighter than a foundation. The perfect mid point between the two that covers any blemishes, gives a dewy glow and actually stays put.
Continuing with base products, and a product i've loved for many years is the Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder. I've repurchased this over and over, and I think it's the only powder i've ever used. First off it's so affordable so it won't break the bank and it lasts for such a long time as I hit pan ages ago and it's still going! It works really well to just matte down any shiny area's that I have and suits my skin tone really well. I may branch out and try out a new powder, but I will always know I can rely on this one and is one I will always come back to.
Lastly, moving back to skincare and this is a more recent find for me and that is The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter. Even though I only purchased this a couple of months back, i've almost used it all up and I know for certain I will be repurchasing this. It's a lovely cleansing butter that almost feels like an oil and it works really well to melt down your makeup, even eye makeup and just gives your skin a lovely gentle cleanse. I also find this works to give my skin that little bit of moisture it sometimes lacks from other cleansers. Lovely stuff!

The Cleanse and Polish is one of my repurchased items too, can't beat it. For powder, I'm constantly repurchasing the Rimmel Stay Matte :)

Alright. I seriously need to get the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. This is getting ridiculous how long I've put this off. Maybe it's because I know I'll be hooked?
ReplyDeleteThe Body Shop Cleansing Butter disappears so quickly! I only got mine a couple months ago but I almost need a new one. Love the sound of the BB creme!

I really need this Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish! I need to find out whether or not I can find it in Canada! It sounds like such an amazing cleanser! I have been loving using the Rimmel powder ever since you sent it to me so I really understand why it's a repurchase! I always repurchase the Double Wear foundation from Estee Lauder, the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara, the Bioderma Micellaire water, and the Clinique Extended Thirst Relief Moisturizer! xx
