Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

September 04, 2013

As most of you probably saw in my recent Lush haul (post here), I picked up one of their lip scrubs after wanting for quite sometime. Now that i've had chance to try out the product and truly see how it works, I thought it was about time I reviewed it for you.
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - Lush (£5.50)

The Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub is like most lip scrubs, designed to remove any dead skin from the lips surface leaving your lips feeling moisturised and smooth but in true Lush fashion they had to whack a lovely scent in the formula.

I've been loving using this product this month as I suffer from very dry skin on my lips, which makes wearing lipsticks and other lip products a right pain as the dry skin on my lips is quite visible especially when wearing lipstick. I've been applying this 2-3 times a week, for the past couple of weeks buffing the scrub into my lips to loosen and remove the dry skin from the surface. I do this for about a minute and lick the excess off my lips as you can eat this stuff. It leaves my lips feeling quite smooth, but I do find that because it is basically removing the dry skin from my lips that it's left my lips feeling a little tender and sore for about an hour but popping some lip balm on helps soothe.

All in all i'm pretty impressed with the lip scrub, but after i've used this one up I doubt i'll buy another right away and maybe give some other lip scrubs a go.

Have you tried out this lip scrub?

  2. That looks lovely, I was always tempted to get one but my friend wrote a post on her home made one - literally just a usual lip balm, put sugar in and mix. Has done wonders for my lips and was free! xxx
