Beauty Picks: Spring Ready Makeup
March 03, 2014With it now being March, i'm already looking to the warmer days that will hopefully be with us soon. I say that when we're supposed to have snow this week, but one can dream right?!
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer - The Body Shop (£13), Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush (Not available in UK), Erborian BB Creme Light - Space NK (£12.50), Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon - Boots (£7.99) |
I'm already lusting over lighter bases, subtle rosey cheeks and summery bold lips, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share the products I will be reaching for this spring and possibly summer.
First up is my base/foundation of choice and that is the Erborian BB Creme Light, which I used to death last summer and managed to repurchase whilst in London last month. I love its lightweight, yet medium coverage that you wouldn't expect of a BB Creme and it also works so well with a tan. Moving onto cheek products and the first product is my bronzer of choice being The Body Shop Honey Bronzer, which I will be reaching for when it comes to light contouring. It works so well with my pale skin tone adding just enough bronze without it looking muddy or orange and it works really well to create a natural looking contoured cheek bone. The next cheek product in question is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in the shade 'Peaceful'. I've really neglected this recently as my cheeks have had the natural flushed look all by themselves what with the cold windy weather, but during the spring I do love a little touch of pink to the apples of my cheeks and this is just a lovely blush. As for lips i'm opting for my favourite products and those are the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons. I loved these last summer as they were easy to add a quick sweep of colour to the lip, whilst also being really build able for a bright bold lip.
So those are my spring makeup picks. I might make this into a little series, if I come across any other products that will be great for the upcoming spring months.
What products are you looking forward to getting back into for the warmer months?

They're coming to the UK via QVC this month i believe, so we'll finally be able to purchase them online! x
ReplyDeleteI've just ordered the honey bronzer in the hopes that it'll be the perfect bronzer for my super pale skin! Fingers crossed. I can't wait to start sporting a bright lip and nail combo! I'm bored of the dark burgundy/maroon shades now. x

Thanks! They're perfect for summer, as they appear kind of sheer but are build able for a bolder lip x
ReplyDeleteI've wanted the honey bronzer for so long, however whenever I go in store I have no idea which shade to buy! I'd love to try some Tarte products.

Ask the sales assistants, that's what they are there for and they allow you to test the products with brushes also :) xx
