Boots Haul #5 - 3 for 2
March 14, 2014As i'm sure most of you know, Boots currently have their famous 3for2 offer on across all things hair, beauty and body, and of course i've taken full advantage by picking up a few bits that i've had my eye on for a while.
First up skincare, and these two products I picked up mainly to stop me from using up my Bioderma because it is expensive and kinda hard to get hold of but I do love it, so I was looking to cheaper and more available products. First up is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, which I hadn't been able to get my hands on for a while but my local Boots had one bottle left, so I grabbed it! So many bloggers have been raving about this, saying it's the next best thing to Bioderma so I can't wait to try this. Next up is the L'oreal Micellar Solution, which I picked up before the previous product as I really needed something and as i'd used this before I got another one just to have. It's not as good as Bioderma, but it does the job of getting the bulk of my makeup off before cleansing.
If you saw my recent Skincare Loves post, then you will have seen me mention this product and that is the Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover, which I picked up to replace my L'oreal one. As I mentioned there, this works great to remove my eye makeup and I honestly prefer this to any others i've used before, I just wish it came in a bigger bottle. Moving onto more makeup bits, and these are both from L'oreal. With the weather purking up over the last week, I thought it was time to pick up a new spring bits starting with the new L'oreal Color Riche L'extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Rose Symphony'. I've seen a fair few reviews of these and I just had to pick one up to try, if I do end up liking this one then i'll definitely pick up more shades. I also thought a new nail polish was appropriate and I opted for the L'oreal Perfection Color Riche Nail Varnish in the shade 'Nouvelle Riche' which instanlty made me think of Nouvelle Daily (love them!). I love the ditsy pastel lilac shade and I can see myself rocking this in the months to come.
So that is everything I picked up from Boots recently (minus some cotton pads, but I thought they'd be pretty boring), and I can't wait to try out some of these products. I will be reporting back with reviews on most of these products for you guys, so keep your eyes peeled!
Have you picked up anything from Boots recently?

Snap with the L'Oreal bits! I got the Liquid Lipsticks in a red shade, but I've got my eye on so many more! xo
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the Garnier products when my current ones I'm using run out. That nail polish looks super cute too!

I've just started using the Garnier Micellar Water and it is pretty fab. Obviously it doesn't fully match Bioderma- but it is soo worth the price!! The L'Oreal products look lovely. The nail polish is very tempting but I am on a permanent nail polish buying ban because I just have so many. Would love to see a review of the liquid lipstick :)

I wouldn't recommend the L'oreal one, it's okay but I only repurchased it because i didn't have much choice at the time.. Theres definitely better ones out there, for the same price xx
ReplyDeleteI've just used it and I can understand why so many love it! It's a lovely shade, almost white with a lavender hint. I will review at some point, might take a while but I will review them eventually xx
ReplyDeleteI love the Fresh Eye Makeup Remover, the scent is soo calming and the product is really gentle on the eye xx
ReplyDeleteMy Boots only had like 5 shades, it's a small Boots but i'll be going to the larger one near me to scope out the more berry shades! xx
ReplyDeleteYou know the fresh make up remover, is it good? I used to use the one in the green bottle but i can’t find it anymore so i’ve just been using the micellar water which is good but not as good as the makeup remover.

Really good! It's so gentle on the eye and removes pretty much any eye makeup, it also smells really soothing. They also do a two part eye makeup remover, which i've heard great things about :) Hope that helps xx
ReplyDeleteI really need to try the Micellar water, keep hearing such good things. Loving the look of the L'Oreal liquid lipstick, beautiful colour you picked!

ReplyDeleteHaha, i know. I only got the Garnier one as it was the last one and I didn't know if i'd have another chance to get it. I used it last night and it's so much nicer than the l'oreal one xx
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's better than the l'oreal one, melted my makeup away so much easier x
ReplyDeleteIt's not my fave, but it does the job x
ReplyDeleteIt really is, i've got it on my nails now and i love it xx
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try that l'oreal cleansing water/solution! I haven't been able to find it anywhere in the US sadly! I love the l'oreal nail polishes-- that color looks so pretty!
