Best Cleansers from The Body Shop

October 04, 2014

It's been a little while since i've talked about skincare on the blog, mainly because I haven't been purchasing or testing out much new skincare items in the recent months. Having said that, over the summer months I really upped my use of some of my favourite cleansers from The Body Shop and I wanted to share why they are some of my favourites.
The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (£12) was one of the first product I ever tried from The Body Shop after seeing some raving reviews that it was a dupe for the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, a product i'd wanted to try but was majorly put off by the price tag, so I gave this one a go. Funnily enough I fell in love with it, the product itself is quite hard to start with but melts down instantly and turns into almost an oil on the skin. It's really gentle on the skin and works so well to break down any makeup or dirt on my face and leaves my skin feeling so soft. I've never experienced any break outs from this and I think it would work with pretty much any skin type, including oily skin.

Moving onto the sister product of the cleansing butter and this is the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (£10). This essentially the same product but in an oil form as the cleansing butter does melt down into an oil, but the oil is a lot more oily in my eyes. I love this for when i've had a really long day and I need something to break down any product or dirt on my face. I sometimes even do a second cleanse with this as it's so good. I've also found using this in the morning helps to combat my dry skin patches, so I then don't have to use as much facial oil as usual. If you haven't tried this product, then I highly suggest you do!

Another lovely yet gentle cleanser from The Body Shop is the Vitamin E Cream Cleanser (£8.50). Now I love the Vitamin E range from The Body Shop as everything is so gentle on the skin, yet it gives your skin the moisture that is can often lack. This product is amazing for when my skin is slightly irritated and dry as it really helps to calm it, without further irritating it. It also smells really fresh and leaves my skin feeling so much better. I also like to use this on no makeup days as I only really need a quick, gentle cleanse on those days.

Have you tried any of these cleansers? Which are you favourites from The Body Shop?

  7. I have the Aloe Cream Cleanser from them and I imagine that it's much the same... so good! They feel like they actually remove the dirt and grime, but they're lovely and soothing.
