April Favourites

May 01, 2013

Seriously where has April gone?! It only feels like yesterday that I posted my last months favourites, but as you all know I like to share which products I have been loving this month whether it be new products or products that I have rekindled my love for.
This months favourites for me was quite difficult to choose as I hadn't really tried any new products until mid way through this month after my student loan came in which only gave me a couple weeks to try out these products and see if I liked them but I also haven't really rekindled my love for any products that I already owned so that is why this months favourites is a small favourites.
Real Techniques Stippling Brush - Boots, L'oreal Glamshine Lip Stain - Boots
Real Techniques Stippling Brush: This brush I bought mid way through March but I hadn't really used it all that much because I was using the Buffing Brush also by Real Techniques but this month I have been trying to alternate between the two so I get use out of both of the brushes. For me this brush works so well for buffing liquid foundation into my skin similar to the Buffing Brush but I find this buffs it in slightly different and I also find that I don't need as much foundation when using this brush than if were using the Buffing Brush. I just find this brush so lovely to use and I can't not mention how soft it is! I will hopefully do a full review on this along with my other Real Techniques brushes soon.

L'oreal Paris Glam Shine Stain Splash: I bought this midway through the month mainly to see what the hype of these was all about and I can honestly say these deserve the hype they are getting at the moment. As i'm not a huge fan of sticky lip glosses this really appealed to me as it is said to be non sticky. These lip stains apply like a normal lipgloss but they dry and leave a stain to your lips that has a wet look finish making it appear like you are wearing a lipgloss, perfect for nights out where you don't want to be worrying if your lipstick had smudged or come off! I find it lasts pretty well, but you do need to reapply a little after eating. I love the shade I picked up which is 'Milady' as you all know I love my deep plum colours at the moment!
L'oreal Elvive Smooth&Polish Perfecting Shampoo - Boots, Conditioner - Boots
L'oreal Paris Elvive Smooth&Polish Perfecting Shampoo and Conditioner: As you all saw I accidentally bought the conditioner when I was meant to buy the shampoo but I decided to buy the shampoo and keep the conditioner to fully try out how these products work together. Even though I have only been using these for about two weeks now I can truly say I love these two products. My hair has not felt as healthy as it does now for a very long time and they do exactly what they say on the bottle by smoothing and replenishing each individual strand of hair giving it a polished look. I finally feel like i'm finding a good hair care routine.
Dove Nourishing Oil & Leave in Conditioner - Boots
Dove Nourishing Oil & Leave-in Conditioning Spray: For me this product is one of those products that you find out whether you like it after the first use and for me I loved it! After washing my hair I sprayed this all over the lower lengths of my hair and in the morning my hair was so soft that I couldn't stop touching it for the first few hours of the day. It really has helped to condition my hair and with the mixture of oil and leave in conditioner I think its a perfect balance and works perfect for my hair. Miracle product right here!

So that is my monthly favourites. Have you been loving any of these products this month?

xx

  10. I've never tried the Elvive range before, always been a bit into Tresemme, especially they conditioner for coloured hair! It works miracles on hair that was damaged after dying! I also use hair oil, but I have two different brands, one is infused with Jasmine, so it has a lovely floral scent and I let that sit in my hair for about an hour before I go and shower, it really nourishes the roots and strands and then I have a post-wash oil that has heat protection properties and it smells so good too!
