MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick

When I first head that Miley Cyrus was teaming up with MAC for their next Viva Glam campaign I was instantly excited to see what they would come out with, and originally I was a little hesitant about purchasing but after reading a few rave reviews, I caved.
Previous to this lipstick, I hadn't really heard all that much about the MAC Viva Glam line but i've since learnt that the profits from all Viva Glam sales goes towards the MAC Aids Fun, which benefits women, men and children who have been affected by Aids and HIV - so I knew through purchasing this, I was helping a great cause.

The MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick (£15.50) is described as a super sexy hot pink shade with an amplified finish and knowing it was not matte was an instant selling point for me. As I am huge lover of bright pink shades, I had a feeling i'd like this lipstick but not being able to swatch it had me a little skeptical but I had nothing to worry about. The vibrant hot pink shade is just beautiful and the blue undertone gives the colour that extra pop, whilst also making your teeth appear a little whiter. 

I find that this lipstick really suits my complexion, similar to my other MAC lipsticks and doesn't wash me out, as you would expect a bright pink shade would. As I am a huge lover of the amplified finish from MAC I knew that i'd love the formula, as it is super moisturising and not at all drying. It also lasts so well on the lips throughout the day, that i'm really impressed. 

What I love the most is the packaging, as they have reintroduced their famous Viva Glam packaging with the black and red bullet, which also features Miley Cyrus's signature around the lipstick bullet. It's just a lovely touch and adds something special to the lipstick.

Overall I am loving this lipstick and I am so glad that I caved because it is a lovely addition to my MAC collection.

    This lipstick looks lovely on you hun :) I was really unsure about the shade with it being so bright but it’s so wearable and I think that’s why I love it so much :)

    I've been putting off getting this for a while now since I'm not big on bright pinks for the lips but its just too pretty of a color to resist! I really love that it doesn't wash you out either; makes me confident that perhaps my pale skin can pull off such a bright shade after all :D
