What's in My Autumn Makeup Bag

October 20, 2014

With the warmer weather definitely a thing of the past, i've been switching things up in terms of makeup, as lighter bases and bright lips are definitely being put to one side, and the dewy/berry lip combo are coming back out. I thought i'd share what is currently in my makeup bag for autumn, whilst also talking about some new products and of course some old loves of mine.
Starting with my base and favourite foundation for a dewy glow and this is the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation (£8.99). I've just repurchased this, and have gone a shade down for the winter as I found my current shade was a little too warm/yellow toned for my liking. I love this foundation as it gives the skin a dewy radiant glow that you often lack naturally in the winter and the coverage is great for everyday use.

Brows next, and for me winter is all about a strong brow so i've been loving the Benefit Gimme Brow (£17.50) in order to set my brows in place, whilst also adding some pigmentation into the more sparse areas. I usually use this alongside a brow powder, but it is great for those days where you're in a rush as it acts as two products in one. As for cheeks, a new favourite of mine is the new Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick* (£5). These are cream blushers, that can also be used on the lips but come a stick form. Great for travelling and just great in general. I'm really enjoying the matte shades in this range, including 'Matte Malibu' as it works great as a cream contour.

Onto eyes, and of course i've been loving adding a touch of colour to the lids and the Makeup Revolution All Day All Night Eyeliner* (£1.99) in the shade 'The Last Laugh' has been my go to. It's the perfect shimmery gold that you can apply and smudge all over the lid, or just into the crease over the top of an eyeshadow. They also stay put really well throughout the day. I've also been using the YSL Shocking Eyeliner (£25) for a winged look, just to add some boldness and then finishing the eyes off with the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara (£19.50).

Rapping things up, finishing off with lips and i've been loving MAC 'Plumful' Lipstick (£15.50) for an everyday shade, as its the perfect subtle berry lipstick. It's one of those shades that would suit anyone and is perfect for a/w.

What products are you currently loving for a/w?
