I didn't manage to get everything that I wanted as some stuff wasn't in stock or they didn't sell it anymore, but i'm happy with the stuff I did manage to get.

Starting off with the Skurar pieces that I had wanted for some time including the Skurar Bowl, which I wanted in white but they only had pink, red or green and these were actually reduced so i'm guessing all of the white ones had gone, so I just got two pinks ones. I also got the Skurar Candle Dish, another piece i've had my eye on for a while and this will go great with the Vanilla Candle that I also got. I'd also had my eye on the Pokal Mug for a while, so I picked up a pink one and I love it already! 

Next I got the Sockerart Vase in the medium size, which i've currently got some roses that I got off my boyfriend for my birthday in and they just look so much prettier in a white vase, rather than a clear glass one. One thing i'd had my eye on for ages was the Brakig collection, especially the cushions. As it was a limited edition collection pretty much everything had gone, but I managed to find a Brakig Single Duvet set amongst a load of remnant fabrics, which I got reduced down to £5! I also bought two 50x50 Cushions, as i'm going to turn the duvet cover into another pillowcase and two cushions. 

I also picked up two Lack Shelves for my desk area as my current ones have fallen down, and a Lack Side Table, which is now under my desk with my printer sitting on top. I also got one of the Billy Bookcases, which I built on Tuesday and i'm going to be using it to house the majority of my beauty bits including makeup, perfume etc. I'll be posting all about that once my Muji storage arrives, which I ordered yesterday and when i'm happy with how it all looks. 

So that is pretty everything I got from Ikea, and I can't wait to start getting my room all organised.

On Saturday I had a day party with all of my family and close friends to celebrate, and I am so glad the weather turned out as lovely as it was, as I had a really good day. I really wanted to get some photos from the day, but I completely lost track of what was going on and after a few ciders I didn't really want to faff around with my camera so I only got a few snaps but I had a really nice day.

Thank you to any of you who wished me a happy birthday, it really means a lot. I will be posting up a birthday haul at some point this week once i've got back on track with everything and gotten through the mountain of mess that has accumulated in my room.

I used to have major oily skin, so face oils were always something I steered clear of as I didn't want my face to become any oilier than it already was. Even though my skin is no longer oily (more on the dry side), I still was a little afraid of face oils as I wasn't sure how my skin would react and to be honest I just didn't have a clue. 

Rewind to a couple of months ago, and I was going through a horrible rough patch with my skin. It was just so dry, especially on forehead and my foundation would just cling to it so bad, and I just didn't really know what to do. I'd read on a few blogs that using an oil on dry patches really helped to soothe and minimise the appearance, so I whacked out the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil (£30), which I got in a beauty box and instantly my dry skin looked so much better. The oil pretty much sunk into the dry area, and it was almost as if it had disappeared, and since that moment my entire opinion on face oils has changed. 

Since then I have been using a facial oil on a daily basis as part of my skincare routine, usually just in the mornings but if needed in the evenings then i'll also apply a little. I've also been loving the Jurlique Skin Balancing Facial Oil* (£40), and this one is aimed towards dry skin. I've also found that adding an oil cleanser into my cleanser rotation has also helped, but i'll report back on that at a later date. 

What are your thoughts on face oils?

What I like about She Inside, is that they do some lovely pieces but for a fraction of the price and you can often find similar pieces to that on the high street that have more than likely sold out. Anyway, i've out together a little wish list of a few pieces that i've got my eye on at the moment.

Starting off with this lovely Floral Print Tassel Kimono (£12.01), which is just a stunning piece. What with kimono's being a staple piece at the moment, I could see myself coordinating this into my wardrobe in so many way and would look lovely when on holiday, as you can chuck it on over a bikini or throw it on when it gets colder in the evening. This next piece is one that i've spied for when heading down to the pool or beach, and it is this lovely Arrow Print Jumpsuit (£9.02). This looks super lightweight and would look lovely just chilling around the pool, or taking a stroll around as you wouldn't get too hot. 

This next piece is something i've wanted for ages, but have never found anywhere that stocks it so I was so happy to see that they stock it. I'm of course talking about this lovely White Cut Out Shift Dress (£11.41). The only thing i'd be a little concerned about is the tan lines, or in my case burn lines i'd get from this, but it would look lovely in the evenings. Sticking with white and I spotted this lovely White Short Sleeve Crochet Crop Top (£11.41). I've seen this crochet pattern everywhere at the moment and I can't help but want some of it, and this top would look so nice with some high waisted denim shorts, or even some mom jeans.

These last two pieces are very summery, and not really me but I love them. Firstly is this gorgeous Sunflower Print Vest (£9.02), and I just love the peplum style detail to this. Again you could easily style this up with some shorts or even a nice mini skirt. Lastly is the beautiful Sleeveless Pineapple Print Vest (£8.61), which is just adorable. I'm loving the pineapple print at the moment, and this is so cute!

I'm back with sharing what i've been up to this past week, as last week nothing really happened as I was working the majority of the week. This week i've had pretty much the whole week off so i've spent it relaxing, catching up with people and just enjoying the nice weather. 

 Nabbed this cute bag from Primark - I've seen a few bloggers styling these bags, and when I saw them in my local Primark for £8 I just had to have it. It stores everything I need if i'm just popping out, and it looks super cute.

Had my first Nando's in probably a year - Earlier on in the week, myself and a bunch of friends popped to Nandos as we hadn't all had seen each other and we thought it would be nice to catch up over some tasty chicken. So good!

Next weekend i'll be celebrating my 21st, so expect some fun updates from that. 

What have you been up to this week?

Starting off with the base and as the weather is a bit on the warmer side at the moment here in the UK, and of course will be scorching if you're jetting off somewhere warm, the one thing you are going to need is a good primer. I've opted for the Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer (£29), which is a lovely lightweight primer that blends in lovely and really helps to make your foundation stay in place. It also helps to give your skin that holiday glow by boosting your skins radiance, which I also love. As for foundation, the key thing is keeping it light and i'm currently loving the L'oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99), it's super lightweight but gives a nice coverage that is quite build able and i've noticed that it stays put really well, which you are going to want if you're going to be facing some heat.

Moving onto the cheeks and i've been keeping this really simple lately. A light bronzer such as The Body Shop Honey Bronzer (£13) has been my go to for some light contouring, just to add a little something extra to my skin whilst also giving my face a subtle hint of bronze. For blushers i've really been getting back into my peachy pinks as they just give you that lovely glow, and the Tarte 'Peaceful' Blusher (£23) is the one i've been reaching for. The Tarte blushers are great because they do not budge throughout the day, which makes them even more lustful as I hate when i'm on holiday and within an hour my blush is half way down my face. 

Now onto the eye area and when it comes to holidays I really like to keep everything looking as natural as possible, but if I am wanting to do an eyelook then I will usually pick something that I can muilti task with. I've been opting for the Wet'n'Wild Knock On Wood Palette as the darker brown shade works great for filling in my brows, but I can also create a few different eye looks with this. I love the pinky hues at the moment as I find they really bring out my eye colour. Going back a step kind of, if I am wanting to do some sort of eye look then an eye primer is coming along with me, and the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer (£20.50) does exactly what you need it to. Lastly with the eyes I like a good mascara that is going to add some length and volume, and The Body Shop Big & Curvy Mascara (£10) does exactly that. I love the brush on this mascara as it just applies the product so well to the lashes, and gives such great volume.

What products are your summer travel staples?

More and more i've noticed that my skincare routine is either on point or not there what so ever. Recently i've been quite good, at least getting the basic routine in of cleansing, oil/serum and moisturiser but sometimes especially in the evening that all goes down the pan and I switch to either makeup wipes or my trusty micellar solutions. We're all guilty of it, sometimes that makeup removal process is just too much at the end of a long day.

My hair has got a lot better over the years, after finding out that a clarifying shampoo has been lacking from my hair care routine but on those days where my roots are looking that little shiny, whacking out the dry shampoo is my only option. Washing my hair is the most boring of tasks and as it is quite long it takes ages to dry, so on those days where I can get away with it I will opt for a dry shampoo. I've also found the brunette ones are great for when my roots are showing, as it works to hide them on the couple of days before re-dying my hair. 

Another one we're all guilty of, and over the past year i've invested in more brushes because I really don't want to wash my brushes. I know that sounds a bit extreme, but when i've got 10 or more brushes to wash, it makes the task prolonged even more. Having said that, I love the feeling of a freshly washed brush, it's like fresh bed sheets, you just can't beat it. 

So those are my beauty bad habits. I may add more as time goes on, as i'm sure there is a lot more habits that I have not picked up on yet.

What are your bad beauty habits?

Kicking things of with my go to cleanser at the moment and this is the Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser. This cleanser is aimed at dry dehydrated skin, which I have and it works to hydrate and balance out the skin. The formula of this is a lovely thick, creamy consistency that instantly adds a glow to your face, which I love as my skin can often look very dull. It's really gentle on the skin and it's cheap as chips.

These next two products, I think you'll be hearing a lot about over the next few weeks as they have truly earnt their place on my blog. First up is the Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil* and I love everything about this product. It works so well to keep any dry patches at bay, whilst giving my skin a burst of hydration but it also help to balance out my skins texture and appearance. The next product is the Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Daily Moisture Balancing Serum*, what a mouth full of a name but this product is like a miracle serum. I use this in conjunction with the face oil, and these two together are an amazing hydrating duo. Although they are slightly on the pricier side, Jurlique skincare is well worth it with the results that i've had so far.

Last but not least is a product I wasn't expecting to get on with, and this is the Blackhead Killer*. Normally I find that blackhead removal masks just don't work on me, but recently the few blackheads on my nose have really been bothering me, so I whipped one of these out, applied it, allowed it to set, peeled it off and this has got to be the first black head mask i've actually noticed results with. I've been using this twice a week in rotation with another face mask, and my pores are looking clearer than ever, especially around my nose.

So those are my current skincare loves. What skincare products have you been using?

Staring with the products I used for my base, as I had whacked on a bit of fake tan the colour difference between my neck and face was not a great look. After testing out a few of the darker base products that I own, I settled with the La Roche Posay Rosaliac CC Creme as this is slightly darker than my actual skin tone. It's also super light coverage so I hardly felt like I had anything on my face. Next of course I opted for my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer and I applied this over my foundation for a change just to brighten up my under eye area. To finish off the base I dusted the Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder all over just to mattify it down, and to get rid of any shine. 

Moving onto the contouring/blush products, and of course I started with my trusty Nars One Night Stand Palette, using the Laguna Bronzer for a base of my contour and buffing it into my cheek bones. I then carried on with The Body Shop Honey Bronzer, focusing this more around my jaw and hairline to make sure everything looked even and blended. Next I moved onto blusher and I love the Benefit Rockatuer Blush as it adds a lovely amount of pink to my cheeks, whilst also adding a golden hew to my cheekbones that just looks so good when you're slightly tanned. 

Moving onto the eye area, and I firstly filled in my brows using the HD Brows Palette, great palette and makes my brows look amazinggg. Now onto eyes, I wanted to do a golden brown eye look and using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette was a no brainer. I can't remember which shades I used exactly, but I opted for the darker brown shades but you can mix it up to create an eye look that would suit you. I then lined my eyelid with the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner and finished off the eyes with the Soap & Glory Thick Fast Mascara, which I forgot I had. 

I then finished off the look by adding a pop of pink to the lips with my favourite MAC 'Lustering' Lipstick. This is the perfect subtle pink, especially for summer and I loveeeee it!

Some recent additions to my skincare stash from the lovely people at Jurlique have really been working to get my skin looking revved up, and radiant so I thought i'd share these with you.

Starting with the Jurlique Moisture Replenishing Mask*, this is creamy clay mask that contains a bunch of different oils including avocado oil, carrot oil and aloe vera, which are designed to help address any dryness while protecting against any harmful environmental aggressors. I hands down love this mask. I use this at least two times a week, applying all over my face and leaving to set for a good 10-15 minutes. It has quite a refreshing tingly sensation that just boasts a floral lemon scent that just relax's the skin and this leaves my face feeling so soft, yet moisturised at the same time. 

When it comes to face oils these are a very recent addition to my skincare routine, as I was really worried that they'd turn my face into an oily disaster, when actually they work really well to soak into any dry skin thus making them really manageable. The Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil* has been a godsend to my skin over the past couple of weeks. Again, this contains a bunch of oils that help to combat any visible signs of dryness, whilst also really moisturising the skin. It took me a little while to get past the potent rose scent, as it's not one of my favourites but i've found that if I apply this at night it allows it to really sink in and work it's magic. 

For me serums are my go to when it comes to combating my dry skin, so the Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Daily Moisture Balancing Serum* was happily welcomed into my life. This is a silk textured serum that helps to fight any signs of dehydration, whilst also protecting the skin with essential fatty acids, oils and botanicals. As this contains rose hip oil, I was really expecting good things and it really has delivered. The texture of this serum is lovely to apply, and rather than rubbing this over the skin, I pat it on as I find it gets into the skin a lot quicker and absorbs better also. I use this on a daily basis and I love what it does for my skin as i've seen such a noticeable difference.

It's safe to say these three products alone have really changed the appearance of my skin, keeping any spots at bay and also keeping my dryness a lot more manageable.

As you can see, I tried to steer away from black with the exception of one piece and i'm actually proud of myself as I usually slip back into the habit of only picking up black pieces. 

The first piece is this lovely Topshop Flippy Dress, which i've had my eye on for a while online and when I spotted it on sale in my local store I just had to get it. It's so lightweight and it's one of those pieces that I could easily dress up or down, so i'm pretty pleased I picked this up. Sticking with dresses, I also picked up this H&M Floral Dress, which isn't available online anymore and as this was the last one in store I just had to get it. It's a kind of smock fit, with a lovely criss cross detailing down the back, which is so flattering and I can see myself wearing this to death. 

This next piece is the only black piece that I picked up, and I totally blame Estee from Essie Button for this purchase. This is the Topshop Trim Lace A Line Skirt, which is this lovely lace skirt with a sheer line running along the bottom of the skirt, which is probably the most sexiest piece of clothing that I own. I really like this piece and would work really well with basic crop tops during these warmer months. Also from Topshop I picked up these lovely Topshop Tropical Shorts as they were in the sale and I couldn't resist. They are so lightweight for summer, and add a little amount of detail to an outfit. 

This next purchase I have to blame on Amelia from Liana Beauty, when I saw her wearing this I instantly fell in love. This is the Topshop Leaf Print Overlay Sundress, which I just love! It's so frigging cute for summer and is so lightweight that I won't be getting into a hot mess when wearing this. This last item I had been on the hunt for, for quite sometime and when I spotted this last pair I made a mad dash for the tills. These are the H&M Chunky Sandals, which I believe have pretty much sold out, and they did them in both black and white. As you can see I got the white ones, and I am so so happy I found them even if they have ripped my toes to pieces, but I can get past that.
