Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

March 14, 2013

I wasn't going to blog today but I decided against this as I remember promising to do a review on the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish a couple of weeks ago and seeing as I have been posting a few reviews over the past few days I thought i'd stay on theme so I can change it up this weekend for you guys and i'm super excited for what i've got in store for you but i'm going to shut up before I spoil it.

Anyway let's get on with this review!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - Liz Earle £14.75
The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is probably the most talked about and most highly awarded hot cloth cleanser on the market today. Made from totally natural ingredients including eucalyptus, beeswax and cocoa butter and designed for all skin types from young to old you can understand why this cleanser is rated so highly by every woman out there!

This cleanser is described to have two phases the first being the cleanse, designed to be used both day and night to cleanse the face and removing all types of make-up even stubborn waterproof based mascaras. The second phase being the polish which is where the muslin cloth comes into play giving your skin a polish and removing any dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

I use this mainly this at night, applying 1-2 pumps of the cleanser evenly to my face and massaging well into my skin as well as over my eyes and eyelashes to remove any mascara and other eye makeup. Then I wet the muslin cloth with warm water and wipe all over my face and eyes to remove any makeup. I sometimes have to repeat over my eyes to get the last of my mascara off. I then finish by rinsing off the muslin cloth and then wiping my face again to just remove excess makeup that I may have missed.

I'm going to just put this out there, I LOVE this cleanser and everything about it. It applies so nicely to my skin, removes my make-up really easily and leaves my face feeling so so so clean and refreshed. I like that this product is made from totally natural active ingredients, so I know that i'm not applying any harsh chemicals to my skin as I tend to have sensitive skin when it comes cleansers because of some of the chemicals within them. It has a really nice natural plant smell (the best way to explain it) but it's quite subtle and adds to the natural feeling of this product. Now I do find that when using this to remove my mascara I do tend to get it in my eyes which can sometimes sting a little but I found that it's actually the mascara excess in my eyes that makes it sting not the product itself just to clear that up. Some people have said that they have experienced this product causing them to break out which I can honestly say I haven't experienced this with this product, in fact I think it helps to balance out the oils in my skin and keep me breakout free.
I could babble on for ages about how much I love this cleanser but I honestly cannot rate this highly enough. A lot of bloggers say that this product is quite pricey but in my eyes £14 for a cleanser that actually does the job and very well at that the price to me is pretty reasonable especially at it lasts such a long time, I've had this since October, granted I don't use this on a daily basis but that's just me.

I hope you found this review helpful and may have swayed you to give this product a go.

I will be posting over the weekend and like I said i'm super excited for what I have lined up the weekend! See you all in my next post!

xx

  1. This cleanser is brilliant, I first 'borrowed' my mums about a year ago and had to buy my own! A friend actually bought me the 'Try-me Kit' recently, which I blogged about. It was great! I'm running out soon so will need to stock up soon. I wish you could buy it in Boots! Lovely review, as always!
